You have 12 snooker balls.
11 of them are identical in every way. The twelfth one is identical to the
others in every aspect accept for its weight which is slightly different to the
others.
You have a 2-pan weighing scale and are allowed to make 3 weighings to
determine which ball is the odd one, AND whether it is heavier or lighter than
the rest.
It is possible! Prove it! :-)
