Any two polygons with the same area can be dissected into one another by dividing them into subpolygons. You can probably
figure out how to dissect a 3x5 rectangle and reassemble it into the shape on the right (a 4x4 square with two corners
missing). The challenge here is to do this using the least number of pieces possible.
Can you cut the rectangle up and glue it together into the shape on the right?
